Is There A Creator
What’s so special about this world? Some people believe it all just happened, and everything we perceive, through all our senses, is from random particles that leaped out of chaos into order. But here we believe that the evidence leads to an intelligent being, who appreciates information, that carves order out of chaos to form the world that we perceive.
Even if we don’t use the Bible, the body of scientific knowledge we already have is overwhelming, pointing us to philosophical causes and effects that can trace back to only a single original cause. That original cause is what we happen to label with the word “God”, and the Bible is back again.
This already sounds complicated, combining “scientific” things and “philosophical” things. Ok, so I will simplify it with a “mathematical” thing. This will be good, promise.
We know that human DNA has at least 1.5 billion letters, in order, that pair with 1.5 billion other letters. If the order is wrong, the DNA won’t work, and those cells just won’t exist. So 1.5 billion letters are in order, either randomly or not. If it was random, then what are the odds of that?
I did some math, and the number is so huge that I couldn’t find it, I could only find how many digits it would have. If the letters were on 2 coins, we’d have to toss them a number of times to get the order right, and that number has 900 million digits. It’s not 900 million, it’s 900 million digits, as in 10900million. The number of atoms in this entire universe is 1082.
Now we have a big bang theory, and it is accepted by atheist scientists and religious ones. The most beautiful thing about the big bang is that it sets a limit on the age of this universe. Tossing 2 coins 10900million times takes a long time, longer than the age of this universe. In fact, much longer than millions of lifetimes of this universe.
So we make a choice, we put our faith in something, either believing in those tossed coins beating those impossible odds, or in some intelligent being making choices, not tossing coins, actually writing the code of life.
