About Us

Godside Bible Church is a group of people who agree that the Bible contains what God wants us to know. Our main goal is to encourage and educate the full spectrum of people, from seasoned believers to atheists.

If you are a believer, here you can learn more about God and his world.

If you are a non-believer, here you can find encouragement and guidance, and evidence for a creator who actually knows you and who is not judging you.

We are not a building. We rely on the internet to reach people. We don’t do traditional church services. We rely on the Bible first for evidence. We share small, easy to understand explanations for any topic, no matter how deep or wide.

Our authors have studied and researched the Bible collectively for over 40 years. We are laymen, and we enjoy condensing big ideas into easy words.

What We Believe

This list explains the foundation of everything we do.

  1. God is real and close.
    The creator of this universe is a person, and he cares about his creation. God made you with the power of choice, so that choosing his side has real value. Some of God’s emotions are the same as yours. He sees you as one of his own children. He enjoys relationships with people, and listens when you talk to him.
  2. The Bible is supernaturally composed by God and is almost always literal.
    There is no other book like our Bible. From the first page to the last, there are ideas that link and flow together, which would be impossible to maintain for about 40 human writers over about 1500 years. We should try to take the Bible literally, unless a passage defines itself as symbolic, or cannot be reconciled with other related passages. There is no “secret knowledge” outside the Bible that helps us. The Bible reveals what God wants us to know, and he didn’t make it hard to get. In our time the Bible is our own prophet, speaking God’s truths to us. Preferring allegory over literal meaning is dangerous and can separate us from God.
  3. Jesus is the Godman who lived on this planet and is returning soon.
    We have huge historical evidence, worthy of any court case, that a person named Yod-Shin-Vav-Ayin (YSHVA, Yeshua, or Jesus) of Nazareth lived on this planet. Dozens of predictions about his life were made hundreds of years before his birth, and he fulfilled them all. We call him “Godman” because the form he took as Jesus was seen one single time in the entire history of this universe. He left this planet with his complete body, and wherever he is now, he has that same body, and he will return to this planet soon in that same body. There are more predictions in the Bible about his return.
  4. God’s plans unfold during blocks of time with defined beginnings and ends.
    After God created the universe and the first humans, he defined certain rules for that first block of time. Each time a new set of rules was needed, a new block of time was started. The Bible explains those different blocks of time with their sets of rules. Our current block of time started about 50 days after Jesus was dead and came back to life, and will end soon. The next block of time will have Jesus back on this planet.
  5. In our current time we can get on God’s side for free by simply changing our minds.
    We are among the luckiest humans who ever lived, except maybe the ones in the Garden of Eden. We are lucky because right now, in our time, Jesus has made the #1 rule easy enough for a child to understand:
    To get on God’s side, all we must do is choose to believe that Jesus claimed to be God, and he proved it by letting himself be killed, and bringing himself back to life.
    He is alive today and has promised to return. Heaven is the destination, getting Godside is the ticket.

Who Inspires Us

All humans are constantly influenced, and sometimes inspired, by everyone around us. Godside Bible Church has a long list of people who influence us, far too long to include here. But here are a few of the inspiring people who are part of who we are today, and whose works we recommend to anyone who has more questions.
