Welcome to Godside Bible Church. It’s a “church” not because of a building, but because you’re here. A church is a group of people who talk to God together. Even just 2 people can be enough.
We can dig a little deeper, and see that there’s also “The Church”. It’s also not a building, but we will have to save details about that for another time.
Today’s topic is the most important thing. And I mean, the most important of all things. And it’s easy. What could it possibly be? Here it is: How to get on God’s side.
“God’s side” implies that the creator of this universe is a real being. More messages are coming in the future to help you with that, if you need it. Then there’s whether God has a side, or does he even care, and why. We will cover that too, soon.
But given that God is real and he does have a side, what does that have to do with you? The answer is kind of incredible. The creator of everything enjoys spending time with you. He wants a basic relationship. When he sees you, he can see one of his own children.
You are one of the luckiest humans who has ever lived. Right now, in this time in history, getting on God’s side is totally free, requires no effort, and is as simple as changing your mind. When you’re on his side, he keeps you there with him. He won’t lose you. He will always be on your side.
So this is the most important thing because, if you’re not on God’s side when you leave your body, then he won’t see you as his child, and you will be lost, separated from him. But you can get Godside before your eyes reach the end of this message. It’s not even a secret…
Simply choose to believe this: A man called Jesus said he is God, and he proved it by letting himself be killed, and then bringing himself back.
I know it sounds too simple, too crazy to be true. I agree. But it’s what he said. He chose to pay for your right to join his family, and for now, all you must choose is to believe it. You just believe what he said, and he sees you and claims you as his. Over time you will trust him more and more.
